Everyday Experience
Give-back that returns to base. Give-back that starts with you everyday.
TNA's support shows up in the everyday, not just the big moments. Food and beverages including barista-made coffee, are priced affordably and commonly under market rates, and our merchandise is high quality without the high price tag. Add in keep-cup discounts, loyalty rewards, discounted or priority Defence Ticketing, and consistent pricing across every base, and it means the coffee before watch or the meal with mates comes with built-in value. Throughout the year, a robust promotional calendar brings bundled offers and discounts aligned to Navy rhythms — so there's always another way to get more from TNA.
Community
Give-back that returns to base. Community Give-back that shows up when it matters.
TNA stands alongside Navy people through the moments that define service life — commissionings, decommissionings, deployments, homecomings, and open days. That support shows up as catering, merchandise, Wharfside coffee pop-ups, prizes, funding and complimentary coffee for returning crews, marking the occasions that matter with something tangible.
This support takes a number of forms:
- Event Support catering, merchandise, and coffee pop-ups for milestones like commissionings, decommissionings, deployments, and homecomings
- Sponsorship backing Navy sporting teams, community groups, and event organisers
- Donations contributions to unit events and community activities
- Gifts in Kinds prizes and resources for raffles, competitions and catering
Together, these give-backs build connection and pride across the Navy community.
Loans
Give-back that returns to base. Give-back that backs you when you need it.
TNA provides vessels, shore establishments and units with access to financial support whenever the need arises — whether that's for welfare, recreation, equipment or community-building initiatives. Loans are granted at the discretion of the TNA CEO and Board of Directors, with repayment arrangements designed to be manageable and predictable, typically over a 24-month period. Terms can be adjusted to suit individual circumstances.
NUSHIP Launch
Give-back that returns to base. Give-back that starts from day one.
Every new ship and submarine enters service with the resources to establish a strong, positive onboard culture from the outset. Support is guaranteed for all NUShips — Command Teams simply request the funding from TNA, and it's granted.
Each NUShip receives an initial allocation of $50 per person, aligned with the Scheme of Complement (SoC), to establish welfare and recreational amenities for commissioning ships. Optional loan support is also available, with amount and terms considered case by case and endorsed by Fleet Command. TNA additionally provides vending machines on request, covering all ongoing rental costs — vessels simply manage stock replenishment and servicing.

Relief & Sports
Give-back that supports resilience.
TNA is the primary contributor to the Royal Australian Navy Relief Trust Fund (RANRTF), allocating a set percentage of profits each year to support sailors and families facing hardship or crisis. If you've ever received a grant or loan from RANRTF, that support was brought to you by TNA.
TNA also contributes a set percentage of profits to the Navy Sport Advisory Council (NSAC), supporting Navy sporting programs, equipment, competitions, and representative teams. Any additional sporting support beyond this should be requested through TNA's Community give-back (sponsorship).
Shore-Based
Give-back that returns to base.
A portion of TNA profits is returned directly to shore establishments supporting Navy personnel. Disbursements happen twice a year, paid straight into each establishment's welfare account — no application required.
Allocations are based on each base's share of total vending machine usage, so increased engagement delivers greater returns. Funds are provided to the CO/SADFO for reinvestment in welfare, entertainment, and quality-of-life initiatives — meaning every on-base purchase contributes to improving sailors' daily lives.
